XeBusiness (XeB) has launched an 'Enterprise' version of its Applications software platform specifically targeted at larger apparel and textile suppliers with heavy transaction volumes and for network configurations exceeding 60 on-line, real time and concurrent users.
The platform will enable XeB's world class applications software - Xe-ERP2 - to run off an industry standard RDBMS (Relational Data Base Management System) with SQL (Structured Query Language) and ODBC (Open Data Base Connectivity) support. Both MS Windows and Linux server platforms are supported.
Key and innovative technology features of Xe-ERP2 running with this RDBMS platform will provide larger XeB clients with the performance, transactional integrity and scalability to support exponential growth of their businesses.
XeBusiness also announces that Henri-Lloyd International, a highly successful and fast growing retailer and distributor of marine apparel and branded fashion wear, has placed an upgrade contract with XeBusiness for the new 'Enterprise' platform. Implementation is scheduled for October this year.
Commenting on the award of the contract to XeBusiness, Martin Strzelecki, joint Chief Executive of Henri-Lloyd said:
"We have used prior versions of the XeBusiness product for many years and worked closely with their team over a period in which the Henri-Lloyd business has changed dramatically in both focus and scale." He added, "XeBusiness has proved an effective IT partner during this challenging period and we now once again move forward with them in partnership and a high degree of mutual confidence."
David Cullis, Chief Executive of XeBusiness said in response:
"The new technology platform will provide an easy, highly scalable migration route for our client base with minimal business risk. It will also allow us to pitch credibly to large apparel and textile enterprises, many of which are utilising non industry specialist enterprise systems which are cumbersome and require a lot of expensive maintenance, customisation and support."
He continued by saying:
"The decision by Henri-Lloyd to upgrade to the new 'enterprise' platform immediately following its launch has delighted the XeB team. Henri Lloyd is proof positive of the growth opportunities that continue to be available in the sector for companies that get their branding, focus, merchandising and service infrastructure right."
Established in 1963, until the mid-nineties the brand was synonymous with high quality, stylish marine wear worn by professional and amateur sailors alike. It still is, but it has also now morphed into a leading global fashion brand with fully integrated menswear and womenswear fashion ranges that include footwear and accessories. Working through established marine and fashion retailers, the company now also has its own fast growing retail outlets. Still a family owned and run business, the group serves as a role model for success in the UK apparel and textile sector.
XeBusiness supplies computer based supply chain solutions for quick response and cost reduction - simply and economically. The company is a leading business to business provider of supply chain solutions to the textile and apparel sector that allow client companies to automate their in-house functional processes and to integrate these with systems in use at their customers, suppliers and business partners to improve service levels and reduce operating cost.
Xe-ERP2 is a world-class specialist management information and business management system for garment, footwear, soft goods and household textile suppliers operating in the retail and corporate workwear supply chains.
The system is suited to both SME's (Small to Medium Sized Enterprises) and now in its 'enterprise' version large, international apparel and textile enterprises providing a highly competitive cost of ownership, coupled with ease and speed of implementation. All aspects of CRM, Distribution, Sourcing (including pre-production logistics and consignment tracking) and Manufacturing operations are covered fully integrated by the system, taking account of the specialist requirements of companies operating in the Textile sector.
